About Government Procurement Service
Government Procurement Service (GPS) is the national procurement partner for all UK public services and is part of the Efficiency and Reform Group within the Cabinet Office. In this role it has set up a number of framework agreements that are fully compliant with EU Directives and allow the public sector to ensure best value for their procurements.

Northgate is committed to working with the public sector to enhance public value through the delivery of citizen-centred services. This route to market reinforces Northgate's well-established partnerships in public sector and utilities markets, and is an important channel for the delivery of our services and solutions.

There are significant advantages to you choosing to use the GPS frameworks:
Through a rigorous tendering process GPS has pre-selected companies that are committed to supplying value for money goods, services and solutions. This pre-screening process means that you can be sure that you can issue an Invitation to Quote to the right suppliers much more quickly and that you will get quality responses within pre-agreed timescales.
Using the GPS frameworks negates the need to procure through the prolonged and expensive OJEU process. Each framework has a model contract that is used for all contracts under that framework. All of this will not only save you and your commercial team time and money around procurement, but the quicker procurement route will also enable business benefits to be realised earlier.
One of the conditions for us being a supplier via GPS is that we guarantee compliance and that we assure quality of supply. If you are not happy with the service you receive you have the right to refer to Government Procurement Service who will intervene on your behalf.
Value for Money
Suppliers recognise that if you chose to use a GPS framework it will mean savings in time and effort from our commercial and sales and pre-sales teams. We recognise what this is worth to us and you can therefore expect to achieve savings by procuring with Northgate through these frameworks.
