Northgate was delighted to be involved as one of the key suppliers supporting the delivery of Powerteam's Causeway Document Management System project
Powerteam, Northern Ireland's largest high voltage (HV) electrical design and build company, which specialises in the construction and maintenance of electrical substations and overhead lines, has invested £275k in a state-of-the-art document management system.
Alastair Dawson, Managing Director, Powerteam, said: “We handle thousands of documents a year, including plans, drawings, contracts, tenders and many financial documents across seven corporate sites and various project offices throughout the UK and Ireland. The need to keep up-to-date data that is easily accessed by personnel, suppliers and in some cases clients, across our networks is paramount to our continued success.
“It is a significant investment for Powerteam and will lead to a streamlined business saving time, money and improving efficiencies – important considerations as we continue to enjoy a period of high growth.”
The document management system was installed by three companies.
Carol D Massay, Customer Relationship Account Manager, Causeway, said: “We are delighted that Powerteam has selected Causeway’s Enterprise Content Management system to help take control of drawings, emails and other documents and manage them with maximum efficiency. This latest investment builds on a strong relationship between our companies that has already seen Powerteam using Causeway Project Accounting, Causeway Financials and Tradex at the heart of its business processes. We continue to take pride in our working relationship with our customers as strategic partners to maximise the use of IT within their business.”
Edyta Wright, Project Manager and Information Management Consultant, Equiniti ICS said: “As an experienced provider of electronic document and record management systems (EDRMS), Equiniti ICS worked in partnership with Powerteam as its subject matter expert and primary consultant for the management and successful delivery of the project. This involved the introduction of new business processes through specialist EDRMS consultancy services alongside project management to help Powerteam co-ordinate this deployment with their product suppliers, and the integration of the system into the business. The project provides a clear demonstration of our expertise in this area and we look forward to building on our relationship with Powerteam in the future.”
Ed Brown, Managing Director, Service Delivery, Northgate Managed Services said: “As Powerteam’s existing Managed Service Provider, Northgate was delighted to be involved as one of the key suppliers supporting the delivery of the Causeway Document Management System project. We provided a stable, resilient and high performing virtualised platform for hosting the Document Management System, alongside key technical project management skills to ensure successful project implementation. Provision of this solution is a further endorsement of Northgate’s capability and track record in providing leading edge ICT infrastructure solutions and skilled project management to the utility sector.”
