Public Services 05-Mar-2008 - [Northgate Public Services] Northgate Information Solutions, a leading provider of innovative services to the public sector and utilities markets, today announced a considerable strengthening of its elections team with the appointment of a new development manager and five developers to deliver major enhancements to Northgate’s electoral management system. This expansion of Northgate’s elections team follows the recent appointment of Steven Lake and John Pearson, and marks Northgate’s commitment to expand its electoral management services as part of a strategy of growth. With electoral administration officers in the UK under increasing pressure to respond to changes in the democratic process, Northgate’s innovative solutions are designed to manage elections from beginning to end – registering elector information, managing the election itself and producing electoral registers. Northgate currently administers electoral records for over 18 million registered voters, and this recruitment further develops the company’s work in meeting the needs of local authorities and their citizens within a modernised voting system. Russell Osborne, Managing Director of Land & Property at Northgate Public Services, said today: “I am delighted to announce a major expansion of our elections team. It marks a significant step forward in the development of our work in this strategic market. Our first priority is to develop new solutions which meet the challenge of modernisation and support the growth of democracy. ”We are committed to developing innovative partnerships with the public sector to meet the pressing demand of democratic renewal, and with these appointments our work in this strategic area will be considerably strengthened.” [Ends] For more information:
