Focusing on data security

Northgate Managed Services (Northgate) addresses data security issues by sharing customer experiences to members of Scotland’s public sector on how leading-edge protection technology can safeguard citizens' data.

Northgate hosted a data security seminar at Falkirk Wheel for Scottish public sector representatives responsible for safeguarding public data.  Following recent well publicised security breach incidents the seminar highlighted security issues to consider, the impact and the need to ensure that ICT systems are robust and offer the proper levels of security. Two public sector organisations within Scotland shared their experiences managing data security for large public sector organisations, the solutions which have been put in place, results and future plans.
